In manaikalani we were learning all about famous new zealanders and also learning about how to use screencastify! It can record your voice with your tabs meaning we can present our work with our voice!

I love this bronze sculpture of Murray Ball and get to see it often being near the library. Footrot Flats is equally amazing although I hadn't heard of the others you mentioned. Your radio voice is impressive but next time can you slow down a little for Aunties old ears!
ReplyDeleteThat was amazing latrell. I remember that statue last time i was there.
ReplyDeleteP.s you have a very clear vioce aswell and could hear everything.
ReplyDeleteAwesome, well done Latrell, you spoke clearly and with what sounded like genuine enthusiasm about Murray Ball and his work.
ReplyDeleteHas he inspired you to make any illustrations and stories of you own?
I like that you chose someone who lived locally to focus on for this project. I have always loved the Footrot Flats cartoons. Did you know that there used to be a Footrot Flats theme park in Auckland? Perhaps you could google it. I would really like to do the Te Kuri walkway that Murray Ball and his family created on their farmland here in Gisborne. Maybe you could do it with me?? You have a very creative, enquiring mind like him, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with in the future.
ReplyDeleteMaybe taua Maybe
